Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, not least the ongoing effects of the covid pandemic, it wasn’t possible for everyone to meet-up and so we conducted an online Zoom/Clickydraft on Sunday 22nd August, possibly the latest draft date ever.
Tim, Simon and John had met up at Gary’s on the Saturday for a long overdue pre-draft catch-up. John went home that evening, but Lee drove down to complete a draft day quartet at Gary’s, with everyone else drafting online with Zoom and Clickydraft.
There wasn’t as much trading done over the last year because of everything going on, but Martin still had three first round picks….at least he did until he traded two of them away on the morning of the draft!
First pick was Clive’s though and the Idiots drafted Trevor Lawrence. Another QB followed at two with Tim’s Dragons taking Justin Fields, while Gary’s Judges took Najee Harris at three.
Mr Irrelevant at pick 240 was Pat Freiermuth.
FA was drawn out of a hat, with Simon landing the top spot.
And sadly that was it, probably the quickest draft ever. Hopefully we can get back to normality next year.
