FFL Review Capsules - SHY TEDS
If this team were in the World Cup it would be ...... a viva Espania! Current holders for the first time and with a well stocked team are primed for another run at the title. Some success in recent times, and a few of the players on the roster who are thought to be the best at their position.
* RECORD - finished creditable 9-5 for a third place overall finish. Beat The Woodsmen in the play-of semis and took down the powerful Zombies in the final to take the title. All hail to Cordarrelle Patterson!

* SEASON IN A NUTSHELL - started fast at 5-1 and always seemed a step ahead of the chasing pack ? well, chasing shambles but you get the picture. A late 3 game losing streak looked a wobble but then won the last 3 overall recovering from near disaster in a Cheryl Cole stye fashion though no word yet on Ian's arse tattoo. The final two wins being in the biggest games of all. Topped 100 five times, and rolled up big scores in the play-offs as Cordarrelle Patterson, off the waiver wire, harked back to times of yore when Larry Johnson clinched it for JD 10 years ago in similar fashion.

* NOTABLE DRAFTEES - Joe Flacco (rnd 1), Maurice Jones-Drew (rnd 1) ? theres two high picks pissed away right there, Giovanni Bernard (rnd 2) - steal, a lightening in a bottle player, Jonathon Stewart (rnd 3) & Wes Welker (rnd 3) - the injury twins. At least Welker actually does something when he's fit.

* 5 KEEPERS - Cam Newton, Adrian Peterson, Giovanni Bernard, Jordy Nelson, Jimmy Graham. Strong - given our scoring system Ian arguably has the best QB, RB and TE available on his roster.

* WHERE IT WENT RIGHT - Was the third highest scoring team in the FFL with top scoring bonus points showing the depth of the roster. Also had the fewest points scored against them in the league so a little lady luck helps.

* HOW IT WENT WRONG - little did, though some of the higher draft picks didn't quite pan out due to injury, aging or in Jonathon Stewart's case just being perennially shite. Could've done with more from the TE position but then couldn't we all? Jimmy Graham's arrival will sort out that issue.

* DRAFT PICKS AND WHATS AHEAD - holds 20 picks, and though without a 1st rounder, then has a selection in every round up to the 10th. Ample opportunity to rebuild for another run, and with those 5 keepers don't bet against it. Giovanni Bernard could be fantasy gold.

* A Quote from the GM - "Obviously well pleased with the final result. Went out on a limb to win it at the half way stage, all in shirt and all. Winning was great, but strangely the most pleasing moment of the season was when I got 12 bonus points across the board in week 9. Best trade I brought in I think was Stacy, he scored well for me. The 2 play-off games made me realise more than ever, you don't have to have the best team on paper to win at this game. you have to be very lucky on the day!?
